Information about Phuket, Thailand
Phuket known as the Pearl of the Andaman, Phuket derived much
of its former glory and its enormous wealth from tin production,
which dates back over 500 years.
Shaped like an irregular pearl and is approximately 21km wide
and 48km long. The landscape is one of lush green hills, coconut groves,
rubber plantations and a coastline dotted with a dozen spectacular beaches.
Unspoilt stretches of fine white sand are found along the island's entire west
coast. Each sun-drenched beach has a character and charm
of its own and is separated from its neighbors by picturesque headlands
and backdrops of wooded hills. Lapping the shore are the sparkling warm
blue waters of the Andaman Sea.
Phuket have long been the destinations of people looking for rest and
relaxation. Sea, sand and sun are in abundance, complementing great
seafood, unspoiled national parks and a unique culture. For those that
pursue an active lifestyle and enjoy the challenges of golfing, Phuket
offer perhaps the ultimate high with 5 international golf courses.
Yet this paradise lifestyle is not a dream. It is the reality enjoyed
by those who have chosen us to make their home on the tropical island
of Phuket.
Phuket features an international airport, five beautiful golf courses and
unspoilt white sandy beaches. Additionally, all the necessary facilities such
as banking, 24 hour International Hospitals, stores and even a couple of
authentic European owned Pubs are nearby. If you have children and wish to reside
in Phuket all year around then the beautifully designed International
School, Dulwich College with its excellent facilities and well qualified,
predominantly British teaching staff will provide the best education
for your children.
